I graduated from the University of Costa Rica in 1989. In Costa Rica, Dentistry is a six year program, still I was the youngest of my class at age 22. In 1990 I did social service at a public clinic in a town near the atlantic coast, as part of the national requirements to obtain the practicing license from the Costa Rican Dental College.
I started private practice in 1991 and at the same time joined the faculty at the University of Costa Rica Dental School. In 1994 I was awarded a scholarship from the University to specialized in Oral Biomaterials at the university of Texas-Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, but I enrolled also in the Dental Branch to get my Prosthodontics Certificate. I graduated in 1997 obtaining two Master of Science degrees from both schools and returned to my country to re-establish my private practice and joined the School back again.
I have been working in oral rehabilitation since, doing from tooth colored fillings to dental implants. in my office I have an endodontist and a general dentist, to cover wider range of dental treatments. I have seen many foreigners, from America, Netherlands, england and Colombia, that find the same quality they get in their countries from a specialist, but a much lower price.
